Qupqugiaq

After a loo-hooong day of travel, we finally made it to Alaska!  Woohoo!  This is one travel adventure we've been thinking about for a lifetime, but were never sure if we would get here.  But here we are and SOOOOO excited!

First stop.... Anchorage.  Our flight got in at about 12am Anchorage time (that's 4am for us) and we immediately took a taxi to Qupqugiaq (Koop Ku Gee Ak) Inn for some much needed sleep.  I chose this Inn because it looked quirky, and I was right!  A funny little place with lots of character.  A bit old and run down, but definitely got the job done.  One thing I wasn't expecting in Alaska.... being almost too hot to sleep even with the windows open!  Don't worry.  It's not global warming.  Just a warm hotel.  :)   At noon today, we head for Seward, where our cruise begins.
